Welcome to our community – make yourself truly at home!

⛪ Christ the King Parish in Olsztyn is much more than just a parish. It is a vibrant, intergenerational community of people that for years has combined prayer with very real care for people and for the world we live in. We operate in Zatorze, a district of Olsztyn where social needs are real and often urgent, responding to them in the Franciscan spirit: simply, close to people, and without excluding anyone.

It is here, on the Italian side of Olsztyn (as we joyfully like to call our space! ☺️), that free initiatives open to all city residents take place:

❤️ we have established a professional family counseling center,

❤️ we have opened a community sewing workshop and carpentry shop, as well as food-sharing and item-sharing points,

❤️ we provide daily breakfasts for seniors,

❤️ we organize volunteering and charitable activities, running the Parish Caritas Team and cooperating with the Miriam Initiative and the Open Hearts Collective,

❤️ we created a scout room – a place for meetings, education, and creative activities for young people, 

❤️ we run art, crafts, and dance classes for children.

… and much, much more.

🤝 In this way, we are building a Social Parish – a network of initiatives created by volunteers and Franciscan friars. We support seniors, children and young people, lonely individuals, people with disabilities, and families in crisis. All of this is done to give a second life both to relationships and to unused items. To give people space for connection, education, and creative work.

🏅 This year, our work was recognized by both the city authorities and local residents. We were awarded two St. James statuettes in the Non-Governmental Activity category and in the online public vote. It is an appreciation of the work, time, and care of many wonderful people – including people like you – who want to live in a world full of peace and goodness.

📣 Our fanpage, which promotes events and fundraising campaigns, has 3.4 thousand followers – and our reach and shares continue to grow. 👆
