Imagine walking into a beautiful, historic church. You look up at the towering, majestic pipes and hear… absolute silence.

For generations, the pipe organs of Wrocław were far more than just a combination of wood, metal, and air. They were the beating heart of the community, a bridge between the sacred and everyday life, and a living testament to our history and culture.

Unfortunately, time and decades of intensive use have taken their toll. Today – drawing on deep traditions and the authority of the Archbishop Metropolitan of Wrocław – we are ready to undertake this great mission and restore the instrument to its former glory.

However, we cannot do it alone. We need your help so that the organ can once again inspire with its magnificent sound.

Why is this restoration so important?

Restoring historic pipe organs is an extraordinarily precise and highly specialized craft. It requires the work of master artisans who carefully repair centuries-old mechanisms, tune thousands of delicate pipes, and restore a unique sound that cannot be replaced by any digital instrument.

By supporting this fundraiser, you help with:

• Preserving sacred heritage
You are saving a priceless part of Wrocław’s musical and ecclesiastical history.
• Supporting culture and the arts
You help ensure that future generations can experience the power of live organ music.
• Restoring the soul of the community
You help renew the majestic setting for liturgies, weddings, concerts, and moments of deep personal reflection.

How does your donation make a real difference?

Every contribution brings us closer to the moment when the first triumphant chord will once again resound from the choir loft. The funds raised will be used directly for:

• Disassembly and meticulous cleaning
of delicate mechanisms and thousands of pipes.
• Repairing the bellows and wind chests
to restore proper airflow to the instrument – its very “lungs.”
• Restoration of the console
so that organists can fully control this powerful work of art.
